A blend of Caribbean rum, sweet vanilla, toasted caramel and jet-black liquorice.
In the small English town of Pontefract, England they were experts at growing liquorice root which they formed into black liquorice sweets called Pontefract Cakes.
The delicious little jet black sweets tasted of liquorice, caramel and vanilla - when in the 1800's a curious soul added them to the popular imported rum a miraculous black rum blend was born.
